Latin text on reverse illegible; map probably has been removed from some glued backing. The fold has been reinforced on the back (as issued?). There are folds at either side of the reinforcement, and two other long creases. Several holes are near the fold; the reinforcement 'repairs' them. One other hole (3mm) has been inexpertly repaired. One tear runs horizontally from the fold. The reinforcement stabilizes it. The paper has a velvety feel.
